Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

awedot ("we", "us", "our") is a desktop application developed by wehuman that discovers, saves, and resumes AI coding sessions. This Privacy Policy explains what information awedot collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

awedot is designed around a local-first principle: your session data stays on your device. We do not operate a backend that ingests your coding activity.

2. Information We Collect

Local session metadata. awedot reads metadata from your local AI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, and others) to display session status. This includes session names, timestamps, referenced file paths, and agent state (running, completed, failed, idle). All of this is stored locally on your device.

License data. When you activate a paid license, awedot validates the license key against our payment processor Creem. The license key and activation count are stored locally.

Purchase data. Billing information (name, email, partial card details) is collected and stored by Creem as the Merchant of Record. We do not have access to your full payment method.

App diagnostics. awedot does not include analytics SDKs, telemetry beacons, or crash reporters. Crash logs, if any, remain on your device unless you choose to share them with us.

3. What We Do NOT Collect

The content of your code, prompts, or AI responses
API keys, OAuth tokens, or any credentials
File contents beyond session metadata references
Browsing history, keystrokes, or screen content

4. Third-Party Services

awedot relies on the following third-party services. Each operates under its own privacy policy.

5. Cookies and Tracking

This website does not use cookies, fingerprinting, or third-party tracking scripts. The awedot desktop application contains no analytics or tracking SDKs.

6. Data Storage and Security

Session data and bookmarks are stored locally on your device using your operating system's standard file system protections. License keys are validated against Creem over HTTPS. We do not maintain servers that store your session content.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access any data we hold about you (limited to purchase records retrievable through Creem)
Request deletion of your purchase record
Export your local session and bookmark data at any time via the app
Uninstall awedot and permanently delete all local data

8. Children's Privacy

awedot is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. International Users

awedot is developed in Macau and distributed globally. By using awedot, you understand that your purchase data may be processed by Creem Ireland Ltd. in accordance with applicable data protection laws including the GDPR.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of awedot after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
